School grounds and classrooms

Yugumbir State School has grown considerably since it first started in 1986. Situated in grounds that are attractively landscaped with a large range of native trees and shrubs, it now boasts:
  • 1 music / teaching block (1 double space for music and 1 double space for classrooms)
  • 1 soundproof instrumental music room
  • 1 two storey teaching block with 4 double teaching spaces
  • 5 teaching blocks each with 2 double teaching spaces
  • 1 Prep (double unit), refurbished
  • 7 modular demountables with 1 double teaching space
  • 1 modular demountable with 2 single teaching spaces
  • 1 library, recently refurbished and fully air-conditioned with an adjoining computer lab, accommodating 22 desktop PCs and 6 laptops
  • 7 covered game areas and 4 amenities blocks
  • 1 oval with adjoining rainforest area
  • 3 developmentally appropriate adventure playgrounds
  • double cricket practice wickets
  • 1 tuckshop
  • 1 uniform shop
  • 1 administration block
  • 1 special education unit
  • 1 multi-purpose hall 

All classrooms have access to computers and the internet. The school currently has 47 interactive whiteboards installed in the classrooms, music room and in the library.​
